What we do

We Support indigenous communities to Reach Their Full Potential

What We Care For!

Cultural Preservation and Revitalization

To safeguard and promote the cultural heritage of Uganda’s indigenous communities.

We are committed to preserving the rich cultural traditions, languages, and arts of our indigenous peoples. Our focus is on documenting and revitalising endangered cultural practices, ensuring they are passed on to future generations through festivals, exhibitions, and educational programs.

Sustainable Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment

To enhance economic opportunities for indigenous peoples through culturally aligned entrepreneurship.

We believe in the power of sustainable, culturally rooted businesses to uplift our communities. By providing training in entrepreneurship, offering seed funding, and helping access markets for traditional crafts, eco-tourism services, and organic agriculture, we aim to empower indigenous people economically.

Education and Knowledge Transfer

To ensure the transmission of indigenous knowledge and provide access to modern education.

We are dedicated to creating educational opportunities that honor and incorporate indigenous knowledge. Through mobile learning platforms, community schools, and curricula that respect our cultural values, we strive to preserve our heritage while improving educational outcomes for future generations.

Land Rights and Environmental Stewardship

To protect the land rights of indigenous communities and promote sustainable environmental practices.

We recognize the vital connection between our lands and our way of life. Our focus is on advocating for the legal recognition of indigenous land rights and supporting sustainable land use practices. This includes leading reforestation and conservation projects rooted in traditional ecological knowledge.

Advocacy and Human Rights

To amplify the voices of indigenous communities and ensure our rights are respected.

We are committed to standing up for the rights of indigenous peoples at all levels. Through advocacy campaigns and awareness programs, we work to protect land rights, cultural preservation, and social justice, collaborating with human rights organisations to address discrimination and marginalisation.

Health and Well-being

To improve the health and well-being of indigenous communities through culturally sensitive healthcare and nutrition programs.

We care deeply about the health of our communities. By promoting traditional medicine alongside modern healthcare practices, and focusing on nutrition, maternal and child health, and disease prevention, we aim to enhance the overall well-being of our people. We also raise awareness about the importance of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Climate Action

To empower indigenous communities to lead in climate resilience and environmental stewardship.

We are passionate about integrating traditional knowledge into climate action. By promoting renewable energy, supporting community-led reforestation, and advocating for climate justice, we work to ensure that our communities are resilient and that our voices are heard in climate policy discussions.
